Prices by type of video in Switzerland
Swiss agencies that publish their rates give fairly consistent ranges. These are Snapshot Media's (French-speaking Switzerland, November 2025), filming and editing included:
| Type of video | What it includes | Indicative price |
|---|---|---|
| Business interview | 1 speaker, half a day | CHF 800–1,500 |
| Customer testimonial | Interview + B-roll | CHF 1,500–2,800 |

The Swiss quote-comparison platform Gryps puts a company video (Firmenvideo) at CHF 2,500 to 6,500 and an image film (Imagefilm) at CHF 2,000 to 30,000, depending on ambition. Its example of a 1–2 minute company profile averages CHF 3,600.
For short videos made for social media, uftritt quotes CHF 800 to 3,000 per clip (a compact shoot, one edit, subtitles) and Tulip Films CHF 1,700 to 4,500 for a basic vertical ad video.
What drives the price of a video
A video quote is mostly a sum of skilled people's hours. Benchmarks from Gryps and Snapshot Media:
- Concept and script: CHF 200 to 250 per hour.
- Filming: CHF 120 to 180 per hour for each person on set. Two people for an 8-hour day already comes to CHF 1,920 to 2,880.
- Editing: CHF 120 to 180 per hour.
- Licensed music: CHF 30 to 200 per track.
- Voiceover: CHF 200 to 600 depending on language and voice; subtitles: CHF 80 to 250 per language.
- Extras: location hire (from a token amount to over CHF 800), make-up and hair (CHF 150 to 400).
The number of shooting days remains the main lever. Gryps groups productions like this: CHF 1,700 to 4,500 for a low-budget 1–2 minute video shot in 1 or 2 days, CHF 3,500 to 10,000 for a simple 1–4 minute production, CHF 10,000 to 20,000 for a complex production over several days, and from CHF 20,000 for high-end work.
What about the price per minute? None of the Swiss price guides we checked charge by the minute: at Gryps, videos of 1 to 2 minutes cost CHF 1,700 to 6,000 depending on the shoot. Ask for a quote broken down into days, people and editing hours instead.
The cost nobody quotes: one video a week
Quotes are for a film. But if your goal is to show up every week on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn or TikTok, the budget to compare is not ‘one video’: it is a month of videos, twelve times a year.
At the unit price of a short clip from a provider (CHF 800 to 3,000 according to uftritt), the maths is quick:
| Videos per month | Provider, at unit price | Marqo Starter (CHF 149 a month, 15 videos) |
|---|---|---|
| 4 (one a week) | CHF 3,200–12,000 | CHF 149, ≈ CHF 37 per video |
| 8 (two a week) | CHF 6,400–24,000 | CHF 149, ≈ CHF 19 per video |
| 15 (three to four a week) | CHF 12,000–45,000 | CHF 149, ≈ CHF 10 per video |
That is why agencies batch their shoots: filming several concepts in one session lowers the cost per video (Tulip Films). In Bern, creasquare, for example, offers a monthly package of 4 to 6 videos from CHF 1,950, which still means at least CHF 23,400 a year.
In-house, the cost is mostly time: finding topics, writing, filming, editing, subtitling and publishing, every week. If you only hand the editing to a freelancer, budget the CHF 120 to 180 per hour mentioned above.
With software such as Marqo, the subscription costs CHF 149, 299 or 499 a month for 15, 30 or 50 videos, roughly CHF 10 per video when the quota is used. AI writes the scripts; editing, subtitles and publishing are automated (AI voiceover and extra languages from the Pro plan). The trade-off: you invest your own filming time, with your phone and the teleprompter app, and it is you or your colleagues on screen. No film crew, no avatar.

Agency or videographer
CHF 6,400 – CHF 24,000per month
CHF 76,800 – CHF 288,000 per year
CHF 800 to 3,000 per short clip (uftritt.ch); per extra language: subtitles CHF 80 to 250 and voice-over CHF 200 to 600 (Snapshot Media, 2025).
Marqo
CHF 149per month
CHF 1,788 per year · ≈ CHF 19 per video
Starter plan, monthly, no minimum term
Indicative estimate. With Marqo you film yourself (a real person, no avatar): the filming time is yours. Marqo is not registered for VAT: no VAT is added.
Always compare over twelve months. One video a week is 52 videos a year: CHF 41,600 at the lowest unit price quoted here (CHF 800), against CHF 1,788 with Marqo Starter (12 × CHF 149), not counting your filming time.
German and Italian versions: the Swiss surcharge
Reaching French-speaking Switzerland, German-speaking Switzerland and Ticino means working in three languages. In a traditional production, each language is added to each video: CHF 80 to 250 for subtitles, CHF 200 to 600 for a voiceover (Snapshot Media). For a video in French with German and Italian versions:
| Option | Per video (DE + IT) | Per month, 8 videos (DE + IT) |
|---|---|---|
| Subtitles, traditional production | CHF 160–500 | CHF 1,280–4,000 |
| Voiceover, traditional production | CHF 400–1,200 | CHF 3,200–9,600 |
| Marqo Pro + 2 languages, AI dubbing | included in the subscription | CHF 717 (299 + 2 × 209) |
At Marqo, the Starter plan works in a single language. On Pro and Business, each additional language costs 70 % of the plan price per month (CHF 209 on Pro, CHF 349 on Business), up to 32 languages. The CHF 717 in the table includes the subscription itself, not just the languages.
A real example: Motoro, a company related to Marqo, published 97 videos between 25 April and 21 September 2026, 96 of them in French, German and Italian. See the Motoro case and our guide to multilingual video.

Agency or recurring tool: how to choose
An agency and a recurring tool meet different needs, and they combine well: a professional film now and then, short videos every week.
An agency is the right choice for:
- an image or brand film for your website, a trade fair or recruitment, made to last several years;
- a paid advertising campaign with staging, casting, a drone or several locations;
- motion design, 3D or high-end production (at uftritt, a complex production with 3D and motion design costs CHF 15,000 to 50,000);
- cases where nobody in the company wants to appear on camera.
A recurring tool makes more sense to:
- share your expertise every week: tips, behind the scenes, answers to customers' questions;
- show the real people in your company, filmed on site with a phone;
- publish in French, German and Italian without multiplying quotes.
Marqo's limits, plainly: you film yourself; a real person appears on screen, not an avatar; Marqo produces organic content and does not manage your paid ads; X (Twitter) is not supported.
To compare offers on a sound basis:
- Set the goal: a film that lasts for years, or a presence every week.
- Put a number on the volume: how many videos a month, in how many languages.
- Ask for itemised quotes: shooting days, number of people, editing hours, music, subtitles, languages and usage rights.
- Compare over twelve months, including your own time.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a one-minute business video cost in Switzerland?
According to Gryps, expect CHF 1,700 to 4,500 for a simple 1–2 minute video shot in 1 or 2 days. The price depends less on length than on shooting days, crew size and editing hours: in Gryps's examples, videos of 1 to 2 minutes range from CHF 1,700 to 6,000.
How much does an agency charge for a Reel or short video?
Swiss providers quote CHF 800 to 3,000 for a short clip with filming, editing and subtitles (uftritt), and CHF 1,700 to 4,500 for a vertical ad video (Tulip Films). Monthly packages lower the unit price: creasquare offers 4 to 6 videos a month from CHF 1,950.
Why do prices vary so much from one agency to another?
Because a quote adds up hours: concept and script at CHF 200–250 per hour, filming at CHF 120–180 per hour per person, editing at CHF 120–180 per hour (Gryps). Shooting days, crew size, motion design and language versions explain why an image film can cost anywhere from CHF 2,000 to 30,000.
Is a video shot on a smartphone good enough for social media?
For tips, behind-the-scenes content or answers to customers' questions, yes: good sound, decent light and a clear message matter more than the equipment. With Marqo, the Prompteur Marqo and Camera Marqo apps show your text while you film, then editing and subtitles are automatic. For a brand film or an advert, a professional production is still the better choice.
How much does a German or Italian version of a video cost?
In a traditional production, budget CHF 80 to 250 per video and per language for subtitles, and CHF 200 to 600 for a voiceover (Snapshot Media). With Marqo, additional languages are available on the Pro and Business plans at 70 % of the plan price per language per month: CHF 209 on Pro, CHF 349 on Business.
Does Marqo replace a video agency?
Not for everything. Marqo is for producing short, organic videos every week with the real people in your company, which you film yourself. For a brand film, an advertising campaign or a high-end production, an agency remains the right choice, and the two combine well.
Videos every week, without a film crew
Marqo writes your scripts, edits your takes and publishes your videos on your networks. From CHF 149 per month, up to 32 languages with the Pro and Business plans.
